Come on in – it’s fall in here
Am I the only one that thinks September has flown by? Which in a way is okay – because 2021 can’t get here quick enough. Can’t wait to see 2020 in the rear-view mirror!
I’ll start sharing my Halloween projects and putting up the décor next week – because fall décor and Halloween décor are NOT the same - so I thought I would share my indoor fall décor before it comes down.
Easy-peasy wreath for the front door, just some big chrysanthemum blooms, a couple leaf picks and a bow. Kept with the same ribbon as on the other wreaths, and the same classic fall color scheme.
I love this drop zone that’s to the left of the door as soon as you walk in. Again, added some large chrysanthemums and a leaf stem to the big blue jug, and a velvet rust colored pillow to the bench.
The fireplace makeover we did earlier in the year made such a big difference in the living room. This is the first time I’ve decorated this space for a season. I kept it subtle, and stayed with the classic colors of fall (with a blue pumpkin or 2). And yes, that is a doodle's butt between the coffee table and fireplace.
A few other spots in the living room got some fall décor too. I love the big bowl on the coffee table, it’s filled with moss balls, artichokes, pomegranates, pumpkins, gourds and nuts. The bowl was a great thrifted find!
A wooden riser got a dried leaf wreath and rattan woven pumpkin. I bought them separately, but they look like they were made to go together (love when that happens).
A bunch of sunflowers and hydrangeas in a jug, alongside a metal pumpkin shaped candle holder on the side table.
The kitchen got a centerpiece of pumpkins, bittersweet vine, and hydrangeas in a metal tray atop a large wooden bread board. I don’t usually do centerpieces on the island, because this is where we eat every day, but this one is easy to move out of the way.
I added a couple of eucalyptus wreaths to the front of the pantry doors. These were hung with the same ribbon I used on the wreaths. I had never seen eucalyptus in fall colors but I found these on Amazon.
The home office got a cute gold and pink pumpkin, and the master bedroom got a little fall touch too.
I love the way my fall décor turned out this year, and doing seasonal décor is something that keeps me from getting bored and allows me change up my décor regularly.
Halloween stuff next week!
Until then, Cheers!!!!!
